The summer heat
has made us perspire to such an extent that we crave for a season that
isn’t a favourite to many- Monsoon blues are here again, and it’s back to
spending hours not only for the ladies but also for the men! Squinting into a
dark cupboard wondering what to wear, what would look good after stepping into
dark oily puddles, after being splashed by careless vehicles and after you’ve
just got caught unawares in a cloud burst. The angst that arrives along
with this season can primarily be blamed on the muck and tardiness that tags

this season is ‘keep it simple, keep it short, and keep it colourful’. You know

that goes more transparent with every drop of water.

waterproof makeup, use soft shades with rosy undertones for your cheeks,
dramatize your eyes a little with funky coloured eyeliners, and give your lips a
matte look – no gloss. Since hair is almost always a problem during the
monsoons, don’t choose styles that require your hair to be straightened,
crimped or curled. All that dampness will make it limp and shapeless in no
time.

be boring and unfashionable. So, let’s make them flirty and fun. Choose a
chic and stylish umbrella; add a twist by picking one with a fun handle or a

splash during the monsoons can definitely make you irritable and you may beat
your head thinking what to wear. This is especially true for men who need to
get out every day, but there are ways in which you can look nice during
monsoon. You want to avoid getting soaked in the rain without compromising on
your looks. In places where downpours do not happen in a set pattern, sudden
rain can make you run for cover if you are not prepared. Guys who do not mind
getting drenched can do with some tips on dressing well this monsoon.
Light up the
cloudy gloom with an array of colours. Not to say that rain is not welcome
after the scorching heat of summer, with each year setting new records for high
temperatures. With a wardrobe full of soothing yet colourful fabrics and exotic
hues, you can make up for the lost brightness in the weather. Cotton short-shirts
and printed T-shirts should definitely adorn your wardrobe this monsoon. Apart
from casual shirts, you can get casual field jackets too to set the right match
