Along with being the season for parties and crazy fun this time of the year is filled with Indian weddings, if you are not getting married yourself, you are sure to be attending the marriage of a friend, a cousin, a cousins cousin, a friends friend, a neighbour, a flame or a colleague your ex worked with years ago.
The arrival of the first wedding card of the season always brings with it a sense of excitement at the prospect of bringing out the finest jewellery and those carefully stored sari’s. But as the cards keep piling up the enthusiasm and creativity wains giving way to boredom and unimaginative dressing.
Outfit: Studio Vastra by Purvi Shah

Being an Indian, I do tend to attend weddings on a regular basis and am always on tenterhooks about the attire. I really don’t like investing in grand Indian garments because, lets be honest, once you wear a certain outfit to an event, you really can’t repeat the same to another. That’s why I always look out for wedding outfits that are versatile. I can dress it up with accessories and wear it to a wedding or dress it down to my preference and wear it to a regular occurrence, just like the one I am wearing in this blog post. This gorgeous ensemble is designed by Purvi Shah who is also the founder of her designer label, Studio Vastra. This piece is not only gorgeous but also versatile as I can style it in so many different way. Like probably I would wear this ghagra with a scarlet off shoulder blouse if I had to style this outfit the next time OR wear the long embellished jacket with high waisted palazzos or pants. Also have you'll seen how I styled my other looks for the weddings on Instagram? I would also love to see how you guys style your wedding outfits, so don't forget to tag and show it to me on instagram ;) xx
