Fringes
are all over the runway this year. Fringe is adorning everything. Right
from the jackets, to hanging off the hemlines of pencil skirts (just like
the one I am wearing in this post), it's showing up as a print-like
embellishment on sweaters, and it's completely covering dresses.
Though
fringes might seem like a trickier trend to pull off, it works really well on
clothing as well as on accessories like handbags and shoes. No matter how
pretty they look, in real life fringes can be tricky to pull off. Too much
can look like a costume, and too thick can look a bit too boho. So if you don’t
do it right it can look a little vague!
I
personally take a cue from street style and incorporate it into my wardrobe in
the form of a pencil skirt that playfully reveals some skin from the knees down
or throw them up causally under my kimono pairing it up with a comfortable
camisole and shorts to create that perfect ootd. Fringe-accented tops and
accessories are also easy to wear with basic pants.
I
would love to see how you guys are keeping up to this prevailing trend. Tag me
on Instagram and show me
your fringes.
